What's Up

Welcome to the 2016-2017 U10 Ski & Snowboard Season

As we get ready to hit the slopes for the 2016-2017 ski and ride season, we would like to welcome all the families of S.S.S.C. athletes to another exciting year of team building, skill development and instilling a lifelong love of safely being out in the mountains.
We (Cormac Hikisch and Sara D’Andrea) are pleased to introduce ourselves as your U10 coordinators this year and are looking forward to helping create a great season. Cormac will be focusing on the coaching/on-snow side of things and Sara on the off-snow/logistics side.
The Smithers Ski & Snowboard Club (S.S.S.C.) is a family organization that encourages family participation, athlete development, personal growth and team spirit. We sincerely hope and appreciate that the whole family will be involved and support the S.S.S.C. athletes, to their own personal goals and team goals.

U10 Coaches

We have a solid group of experienced ski and snowboard coaches committed, who are CSCF and CSF trained and certified. Each coach is also dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment to get our athletes motivated, build strong self-esteem and develop great skiers and snowboarders. However, we are still looking for two more ski coaches in order to run a full program. Parents please consider and if interested please contact Cormac at 250-877-2477 or . You will receive training – our new head coach Larry LeGear is planning a Level 1 CSCF course in December.  All fees associated with the training will be covered as well as your season pass. This will also count towards volunteer hours.

Coaches for the 2016-2017 season will be in contact with parents of the athletes in their groups directly through out the season.
