About our Club
As a professionally directed athletic program, the Smithers Ski & Snowboard Club strives to promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding by enabling all if its members the opportunity to reach their full potential. The club prides itself on providing quality programming that not only promotes competition but teaches and exposes participants to skiing and riding all types of terrain. We ensure through a fun and positive atmosphere that we develop athletic ability and adaptability to all terrains. Whether its free skiing, free riding, racing or running through our Ski Cross track members are guaranteed to have a smile on their faces. The club is a non-profit society incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of British Columbia.

The Mountain temperature cut off for the U12 and older athletes is -25. We’ll judge the temperature according to Sandra Hinchliffe Mountain Webcam site which you can find in our QUICKLINKS. Most important is that you make sure that your child is properly dressed and consume a good lunch.

Sometimes we don’t want to volunteer due to lack of knowledge in the area, we don’t ski or ride or we don’t know who to contact. No worries, Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club are trying to change that by using VolunteerSpot.

Hudson Bay Mountain Resort is offering a $329 (incl taxes) price for a Season Pass for all Smithers Ski & Snowboard Club members.
The price applies to all children and youth athletes that are currently registered in the SSSC programs. It does not apply to the General membership for adults.
Please make sure to register with the club prior heading to the HBM office for your season pass.

To see an athlete raise their arms on the Olympic podium with tears in the eyes, to hear an athlete yell out loud when a goal is accomplished and a mental barrier broken to pieces, to see the smile on an athletes face, after sticking his or her first front-flip and to see an athlete pump the fist, after a wicked performance is PRICELESS!
