As the winter season is now over and we’re changing our focus to valley sports, I would like to see that YOU pick up your equipment from the cabin.
All the tax receipts for your child are available from today April 14 at LOCAL SUPPLY CO until further notice. Please see any of the staff and ask for SSSC tax box. Make sure that you grab the right one. All receipts are in individual sealed envelopes with your Family name that you gave us at time of registration.

Please note the following age groups are now up and running on weekends, both Saturdays and Sundays. U10, U12, U14 and U16 Snowboard Competitive groups are already two days into the season. U12, U14, U16 and U18 skiers are also up and going.

Hudson Bay Mountain Resort is offering a $339 for a Season Pass for all Smithers Ski & Snowboard Club members.
Luna’s Fitness and Lara Collingwood will continue to offer great training for big and small, this time it’s for the small (U8-10 or age 6-10) and it’s an opportunity that you do NOT want to miss. The sessions are FREE of charge for SSSC registered members for 2015/16.
All exercises will be fun and fitness focused, age appropriate, using body weight exercises only, as well as flexibility and balance work. Workouts will be instructed by Lara Collingwood and a handful of parent helpers.
This is a once in our clubs lifetime experience! To be the host to the 2015 SX National Championships is huge, not only for the club, but for the entire NORTH and our community.
This coming weekend our club will host a two day training camp for a handful of SOBC athletes from our club, but also from Quesnel, in preparation for the Provincial Champs at Sun Peaks, February 19-21.

Four coaches from Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club attended PacSport North and SportMed BC two seminars, one on Sport related concussions and one on Train Smart off-snow training.
Sometimes we don’t want to volunteer due to lack of knowledge in the area, we don’t ski or ride or we don’t know who to contact. No worries, Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club are trying to change that by using VolunteerSpot.
To see an athlete raise their arms on the Olympic podium with tears in the eyes, to hear an athlete yell out loud when a goal is accomplished and a mental barrier broken to pieces, to see the smile on an athletes face, after sticking his or her first front-flip and to see an athlete pump the fist, after a wicked performance is PRICELESS!
