Smithers Ski Club

Our Coaches

A message from new Head Coach Larry LeGear:

I believe that the young Athletes must train consciously towards a clear and well-defined goal each season and in each training run. They have to develop a broad base and to do this they must do a lot of free skiing, play and use the terrain to learn to adapt their skiing to different snow conditions.

It is important for the young athletes to have the best coaches and a motivating and dynamic environment with good goals for their overall development.

You also need to see early which technical talents the athletes have and let them develop naturally without restricting them with a rigid technical program.

I look forward to working with all the club kids, volunteers, coaches and parents.
